Decided it would b some great weather to go rip a spinnerbait and chatterbait all day. 40-50 degree weather, cloudy as all could b.
Boy was it a good decision. I've had great luck on this pond off a highway out of town. Super kind lady lets us fish it and use the kayaks whenever, so we go out there quite a bit. Pretty close to home as well, so thats a plus.
So, we were out a few days ago and I happened to miss my pb, or so I think I did. I was ripping a skirtless spinnerbait thru the middle of the pond, something I like to try every now n then. I got absolutely SMOKED, by a giant. My guess 6-7lbs. Jumped right at the kayak and spit my lure. My brother was no more than 5 feet away.
Then today, I thought Id slow roll it off the banks while in the middle on a kayak, hoping to find sum big girls munching on baitfish before spawn. And ohhh boyyy did I.
She came out at 6lb 2oz. Good size fish for the Nebraska area I'd say.
