I don’t have a lot of experience with fishing, literally started about a few months ago with only a dozen of catches, but I caught my very first Bass, it was awesome. Went out to a pier I decided to go last minute, I first tried fishing with a kastmaster lure, didnt have any luck with that so I switched over with bait.
Someone nearby had extra frozen squid so I decided to try it, I usually don’t have any luck with squid, I’ve yet to catch anything with it so I was like, “why not”. 🤷🏻♂️
I had a fish finder rig setup and about a 1 foot of leader line on a pyramid sinker, a snap sinker slide and a bead, my leader was a green 20lb mono line. It was my first time using the fish finder rig.
It was my first Bass and it was a Barred Sand Bass, it must have been anywhere from 6”-9”, so I tossed it back in. I’m super proud of myself, such a short time fishing and I’ve already caught a good assortment of different fish. Lesss gooo, boys 🙌🏻
