I feel like it is pigment. But I read brown spots are bad on the face. Please help a new mom out. These photos are progress over the last 11 days.

Certains Bettas ont le gène marble et ils changent de couleur tout au long de leur vie, il me semble que le tien l’a certainement.

    Is the fish new?

Usually fish will get more colorful once they’re settled in a tank. It’s because they’re in a better environment and usually eating better. It’s a sign of good healthy.

Be worried when they start loosing color.

    Tank size 6 gallons

    Temp 78-79

Tank started 2/25 added plants 2/27, boosted cycle with filter media from an established Tank 3/17, accidentally introduced bladder snails from the kids established Tank

    Added Perry the betta 3/27

Weekly water changes 30% (mostly cause I am still learning how to filter the bottom well)

Adding prime, stability, and flourish weekly

Plan to add amano shrimp but for now just a few random pest snails to clean up plants

I feed twice daily the goal is 4 fluval bug bites but more when hubby helps. Brine shrimp once a week and we fasted Saturday and half the day sunday

Decor driftwood, rocks that dont bubble with vinegar, a floating hammock, plants that are thriving except for Java fern that hates me)

Parameters were perfect. I haven’t checked again this week.
