she's four and has been really good in my communities with various livebearers. she's grew up with shrimps and guppies. she's lived with swordtails and limia over the years. she use to be very lively and competed with the big livebearers for food. i had a special signal with my tongs to lure her away from the pack, just to ensure she got secret snacks. however, she's lost a lot of muscle and slowed down a LOT since last winter. she's mostly blind now. so things changed.

had to move all the limia out of her tank because it got too hard for her. got her a floating log; she always claimed the cladophora sponge as her home, but it's gotten too hard for her to swim halfway up the tank all the time. most days I feed her in the floaty log now.

had a trip I was going on in the spring; im honestly glad we had to cancel. I was worried about her. I think I'll get to see her thru the last of her life now.

been rehabbing a pea puffer in my hospital/moss/fry tank. the little bugger is almost good to go, so I think that tank will become her hospice home. I'm gonna give her rooibos to keep the water dark. she'll like being alone in her late months, I think.

I'm very impressed by this little lady. she's always been smart. and im glad she's adapted well to the changes her age demands. she immediately knew what the floating log was good for.. and she still goes down to forage at feeding time. she's cute, and still a bit of a tryhard.

cheers to our little critters!
