If you could redesign a fishing kayak,what would you change?
Me first:Definitely hatch.Sitting and reaching for gear is such a pain in the rear.
What about you guys? If you could start from scratch,what would you change on your kayak?

In built cooler/fish storage area , way more storage, maybe a seat that can swivel around that would be sick.
Little stabilisers you can deploy off the side of the kayak.

Nah see, that issue has already been solved. I hated my beginner lifetime yak because of how hard it was to get to stuff while seated. That’s why I picked a Kaku when I got my first big boy yak, something big enough to have a deck to walk on and I could just stand up and turn around and get what I need from the back.
I would make the chair reclineable for pedaling, though.

Make it bigger and put a flying bridge on it

Make the about 26ft, center console with nice seats. Place up front for the wife. Quiet 4 stroke engine. Keep it about the cost of the 12 ft kayak.
