I just got this guy from the store and just wanted to see if he looked healthy just from the store.. I’ve owned many fish before (years ago) but never a betta so I am unfamiliar with their specific stress cues
I have live plants and a type of wood that I cannot remember the name of right now a heater the water is 77 degrees. The water ph and all that is as it should be so I just want to know if he is sick or uncomfortable at all from the transition from store to tank

They usually are very stressed after moving! You can add tannins to make them less stressed tho 🙂
Looks healthy t me. Might b a female beauty. Bettas love plants to swim in & out of & a hammock positioned a few inches from surface. Lucky you!
