I'm a beginer at fishing and I've bought a fishing rod today and it's a medium action and my dad helped me put the line in and showed me this knot but I'm not sure if its a good one or not a good one so please if anyone knows if it is please tell me thank you

    It is not. Look up an improved clinch knot. Practice it until you can do it 10 times in a row without looking at the diagram. Then you’ll have it to where if you need to do it out in the field you can.

    I’ve never seen that knot, pull on it as hard as you can and if it doesn’t break then I see no problem with it. People will say it’s “wrong” but if it doesn’t break then go for it

    Not sure what kind of knot that is, but it doesn’t look especially secure. Your line also looks very heavy for that size lure. Maybe try a lighter line (6lb monofilament would be good) and look up how to tie a Palomar knot.

  4. The easiest knot I’ve ever learned is the “Palomar” knot. With a good YouTube tutorial you can learn it very quickly and you’ll have the confidence of knowing exactly how strong your knot is. You don’t want to worry about your knot potentially failing and loosing fish
