Hi guys. I need help please. 10 gallon tank. For context, I put these Corys in 3 days ago. My nitrates are at 20 parts per million and I have no ammonia spikes. My pH is 7.6 and my water is a little bit hard. my temperature is kept at 80 to 82. My lights are currently turned off because I'm in a blackout stage because I'm battling some algae in my plants.
tank mates are a male tangerine koi betta, clown pleco, and three von rio tettras
Sometimes don't be calm and they'll skim the grounds but most of the time they'll be surfing the glass like this and shooting towards the surface really fast. Is this Just something I have to wait for them to calm down with? I also put a clown pleco in and he doesn't really move too much.
I'm three weeks into a fish in cycle but all of my stuff looks great. I couldn't figure out how to post the entire tank but it is heavily planted but if you want to see it's in my profile history
Edit: Thanks guys, I guess I can just chalk it up to them just being very silly fish.. lol

I only have saltwater now but my Cory’s always did this when I had them, lived for years 🤷♂️
Just Cory’s being Cory’s. Totally normal
I have corys in a 55 and A few are calm but most do the same thing so I don’t think it’s a space thing.
They shouldn’t be doing it all the time. Might be an oxygen issue.
Try to get more surface agitation, maybe add a bubbler.
Cory’s are silly fish.
I have 10 Pygmy corys and they do this all the time, my dad’s corys also do this. It’s normal
Corys, Betta AND no lid? bold, brave, probably not good long-term
Yup they do this all the time. We even have a name for it and call it **Glass Surfing**! Perfectly normal.
