What trailer would you use for a white chatterbait? Or is it better to have no trailer?

  1. Personally, the color of the chatterbait doesn’t make a difference in the trailer I’m going to use. It’s nuts about the action I’m looking for. I personally love craws or twister tails…just depends on if I wanna straight retrieve or work it like a jig.

Man, must be me but I’ve never had any luck at all on a chatterbait.

That said, most guys pair with a fluke of some sort. As far as with or without they’re pretty easy to rig up so I would try both.

Always. I prefer a minnow trailer with a straight tail like a Crush City Freeloader or a Zoom Shimmer Shad. If I’m fishing wood, I’ll use a Strike King Rage Bug and rig it flat so it doesn’t snag as much

I’ve never caught a fish without a trailer, but I also haven’t tried a lot

Never caught a fish without a trailer.
Never caught a fish is the important bit.

  6. Always use a trailer. Just like a spinner bait if a fish strikes it they are more likely to hold on if they feel that trailer in their mouth.
