Ran into a caddis hatch and got to watch some of them hatch right on my waders.
Such an incredible process by some of the most primitive life forms on earth.

That’s a mayfly dun not caddis, I’m not good enough anymore to be sure of species but maybe March Brown or related?
It does have a certain quality to watch this happen.
