I’m going to be moving to the Boise area from Denver. One of the things I’m looking forward to is less crowds when it comes to outdoor recreation.
Right now I have to drive 2 hours to fish in solitude (not looking to debate this, this is my experience).
I’m not that familiar with the areas around Boise. Will it be fairly easy to find solitude fishing spots within 60-90 minutes?
I saw a few spots off the side of 55 on the SF of the Payette. Do those spots usually fill up on the weeeknds?
Thanks in advance.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but Colorado and cali have been leaking long enough that you’ll feel like you brought the frontrange with you some days on the more popular water.
At least you won’t be homesick
You can find quiet parts of the river even in town. Head west out of boise staying along the river and stop around town. There are plenty of spots to fish and anglers in the area dont stack on top of eachother.
Great fishing on the south fork, and the o if you feel like getting out of town. I miss idaho, most of my favorite streams are up there and now all I do is fish the white in ar.
The popular rivers are very crowded. The others ones no one fishes at all. Pick up smallmouth fishing and you have even more options. I do wish you would have been less specific with your questions. Just started hitting rivers.
