Just bought a 40 gallon tank from the store and a fish stand from amazon. It looks like the tank doesn’t sit flush on the stand. What are my options? Should I just get a mat?

Hi! U should always use some kind of mat, it’s better for the long term health of the bottom glass

That’s perfectly normal for a rimmed aquarium. They just need support on the corners.

my understanding is you should never use a mat for rimmed tanks. They’ll cause the bottom pane of glass to take weight that it isn’t designed for
