Old lady’s aunt has been telling me that there’s a pond behind the house and we’ve been living here for 4 years. Finally decided to check it out this morning.

You need to get your priorities in order! 4 years? How many people have access? Any idea how deep it is? Did you see any fish activity?

Actually looks like a decently-healthy ecosystem, honestly. Nice sized pond, secluded area… And it’s surrounded in tons of foliage, but still has access points that look to be relatively maintained. I bet it draws lots of wildlife from nearby.
That’s funny that it took 4 years for her to tell y’all about it though!
I’m just imagining:
“So yeah, Thursday was kinda’ hectic and the wife’s been sick, so we-”
“Oh, by the way! You guys been catching anything in your backyard pond lately?”
“We haven’t really had the time lately to- Wait… our *what?*”
