About to pull the trigger on this, planning to run 15-20LB braid with this combo. Any reason this wouldn’t be a smooth setup?

I love my SST. Any salt water? If so I’d go with a Fuego

I have both and they are great. I don’t fish the Exceller in Saltwater. If you go saltwater I would recommend Daiwa BGs. I have a few that have done 6-7 years of surf fishing at the coast

I’ve really liked the SST rods for the price. I think I have 5 (?) of them now for a variety of applications. I picked one of these up last fall and haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Looking forward to it soon.
