Extra parts ☹️

Took apart my shimano FX 2500HG (the $30 Walmart reel) for maintenance and can’t seem to find where this piece came from and I can’t seem to find the schematic for this exact model. Any idea where it goes? The reel feels extra crunchy so I assume it’s important 😂
