I know she’s probably the least colorful female betta out there, but I spotted her at my LFS and didn’t plan on getting a betta at all… still, something clicked. It’s been about a month now.
I’m pretty new to the hobby and could use some advice, mainly about feeding.
Is she overweight?
I’ve been trying to compare her to the usual betta body condition charts (added pics), but I’m not 100% sure where she lands.
Current feeding:
- 2x per day
- Mix of Bug Bites Tropical + live food
- Live food: daphnia, artemia, mosquito larvae, bloodworms (I have a pea puffer tank, so I already keep those)
For those feeding live regularly, how much do you usually give per feeding?
I know it depends on size and activity, but would be good to get a rough baseline.
