Started when i noticed my live terminal on the batteries water case melting the plastic
Opened up the head and found pic 1.
Replaced speed control module & all terminals except white (it’s clamped, don’t get on my ass) & replace the OE 10awg to 8awg.
Basically all new connections. I added the Anderson plug along with a 60W breaker. The motor will be ran to here then that’s directly to the battery
I deleted the cases terminal power & took the (cases) 60W breakers power away, as the motor is now on the other breaker. Left only the 10w breaker and cig lighters live on the case.
Lastly, I have a new APC speed prop coming monday (3 of them).
Final resistance reading was .2OHM.
Overall, i’m glad I did this & I can’t wait to go test it out in an hour or two.
Constructive criticism is appreciated. I’m a nursing student, not an electrician.
