Folks, whats the difference here? Boating, spinning, labrax or inshore, what do they mean?

Im looking a rod between 7-9ft, I want fast stiff action, Itll be for fishing soft lures between 10-40g off the coast for pollock, seabass, wrasse etc. My 11ft daiwa wilderness is wayyyy too bouncy to jig properly, any help here appreciated
