Obion Co., Tenn. (WBBJ) -It was a beautiful day to spend fishing at the lake, perfect for the First-Ever Reelfoot Lake Ultimate Crappie Challenge.
This morning fisherman competed in Day 2 of the fishing tournament. The event took place in Obion County as entrants tried their luck to catch the largest weight in crappie.

The weekend long tournament was open to singles or teams of two fisherman, and the entry fee was $250 per boat.
At 2pm Sunday, fisherman joined together at Kirby Pocket in Obion County for a final weigh in.

Contestants and bystanders were eager to see who would be awarded the grand prize of $10,000 from none other than fishing legend and icon, Bill Dance.
Other cash prizes were also awarded for 2nd place and on.
And an additional prize of $750 was even awarded to the fisherman with the largest fish of the day.
The tournament was a huge success this year and organizers say they plan to continue the tradition in the future.
