Ohio State alumni club will hold its Oct. 1 drive-up event to support scholarships for Tuscarawas County students

The Ohio State Alumni Club of Tuscarawas County will hold its sixth annual Drive-up Fishing Expedition Oct. 1 to raise scholarship funds for Tuscarawas County students attending The Ohio State University.
The fundraiser will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Tuscora Park in New Philadelphia.
Vehicles will enter from Tuscora Avenue and travel along Al Maloney Midway past the tennis courts. Participants may purchase a “catch of the day” for $20, with each prize valued at a minimum of $20. Volunteers will deliver prizes to participants’ vehicles.
Prizes include Ohio State decorations, shirts, blankets, scarves, artwork, pillows, towels, kitchen items, purses, Christmas ornaments, gift certificates and merchandise from area businesses. Ohio State photographs, footballs and mini helmets autographed by current and former Buckeyes also will be available.
Each catch also will include a $5 gift certificate for Roosters Wings.

Payment may be made by cash, Venmo or check. Checks should be made payable to OSU Foundation.
“This is a great opportunity for everyone in Tuscarawas County to help us raise scholarship funds for students to attend Ohio State and to get some great items without leaving the comfort of their vehicle,” club President Martha Campbell said.
The Ohio State Alumni Club of Tuscarawas County awarded $28,000 in scholarships to Tuscarawas County students attending Ohio State for the 2026-27 school year.
The Ohio State Alumni Club of Tuscarawas County is a nonprofit organization.
