I went on a camping/fishing trip with my oldest friend at the Vaal river outside of Parys, South Africa last weekend. Fishing was amazing, I ended on 14 fish, 12 catfish and 2 carp.

The largest catfish weighed in at 12Kg/26lb and the biggest carp was 4Kg/9lbs. I caught quite a few small fish which I didn't count, some ended up as bait for the cats. These are African Sharptooth catfishz which we call barbel locally. They're one one of my favourite freshwater fish to catch because they're brutally strong. They get a lot bigger but 12Kg is a good specimen and a new PB for me. These are photos of some of the better ones, 3 went over 10Kg.
