COLUMBIA, S.C. – When fish get bigger, the gear has to earn its stripes. Shakespeare is expanding its lineup with the new Tiger series, a versatile assortment of rods, reels and combos that pairs heavy-duty construction and strong componentry with the value anglers expect from Shakespeare. Built around larger setups and bigger bites, the series gives anglers options for targeting big-game freshwater and saltwater species.
The Tiger Series spans spincast, spinning and conventional reels, along with casting and spinning rods and complete combos, giving anglers options for a wide range of fishing opportunities. From straightforward spincast setups to specialized conventional offerings, the lineup combines practical features and value with the heavy-duty construction needed when they set their sights on bigger fish.
Tiger spincast and spinning reels come pre-spooled with Stren line for an easy transition from the package to the water. Spinning models feature a one-ball-bearing system for smooth operation and a thick stainless steel bail wire for increased strength, while conventional reels step up to a two-ball-bearing system, stainless steel synchronized level wind and an On/Off Selective Bait Clicker. Across Tiger rods and combos, heavy-duty tubular glass blank construction provides a strong foundation for a series built to take on bigger fish without taking a bigger bite out of an angler’s budget.
