paddled 10 miles.
took the hit about 3/4 mile from the launch on the way in… 50 feet of water. spent hours in the pelagic zone looking for something worthy.
nada.
at least this needlefish made it so I didn’t have to un bait the rig… and he didn’t even trash my wire leader.
he went just about 3 foot. edible, but not worth making the mess out of my kitchen (had I something worthy in the bag, and had plans to cut fish I’d have taken him home too – not bad sashimi style.)
lucky for him I was feeling lazy – back into da wattah.
