OFFSHORE: No reports. Nobody is traveling offshore. The wind is too damn nasty.

OFF THE BEACH: Venice Fishing Pier, they had some luck, using trolly lines. Getting into some cobia, a few king. By the jetty, they were getting into some Pompano.

FRESHWATER: Hit or miss, but when it’s on, they are hitting dark bait.

BACKWATER: Using live bait and working the mangroves, there’s some good size redfish and snook; using paddletails on the flats, there’s trout to be had and bouncing some artificial shrimp as well — also using ladyfish up toward mangroves.

BEST BET: Castnet and get some of the pilchers and greenbacks. That’s the majority of what they’re hitting right now.
