I might have been the first person to ever fish for carp on this island. After two hours I had a nice run but got snagged and the line sliced clean off. This has happened several times when teying new spots. I'm using 15lb korda subline and it's usually held up. I'm using 2.5oz lead with hairrigs and a pop ups. Is there a better rig or setup to help withstand the harsh conditions of this river. This river has it all. Mud flats, giant areas of water chestnuts, zebra muscles, slate stone bottom, rocks and snags.
