Just received my Battalion 2 11 ft medium heavy rod and Spinfisher VI live liner and I’m wondering should I go with 40 lb braided with a mono leader. Going will mostly be fishing OBX, but I was also wondering if I can target big freshwater cats or if it’s overkill. I’ve got a 7ft lews ultra lite I’ve used for bass and trout, can I target smaller surf fish with this?
