When I net the fish, I always put it on the spot with the most grass and unhook it in the net, then take a pic and release it. I’ve seen a lot of carp anglers use these big mats for fish, which I also have but it’s just way too big to carry with me if I’m gonna fish for like 2 hours. Do the carp I catch have a small chance of survival after release, because I put them on grass? (I have a bigger net but this is as big as the carp get in this pond) -sry for bad English

As long as you don’t set it down on that stick……….
Carp are a pretty hardy fish, while a landing mat is preferred, you should be fine as long as you get it back in quick.
