It looks loose, and also you have way to little line on the reel. Make sure the line is pretty tight when you spool the reel…

Not much line on there, I like my spools about 9/10ths full for maximum casting ability.

Take your reel to the nearest tackle store and have them re-spool you up . It won’t cost much as long as you choose mono 😉 That line looks very light. What do you want to target in the surf?

Not much line on there, I like my spools about 9/10ths full for maximum casting ability.
