I have not yet applied cement yet – just a dry fit.
Searching for feedback on building a beach cart that I can take surf fishing. My back can’t handle carrying all my crap out there (I bring a lot of stuff so i can extend my bunka chunkin sessions as long as humanly possible).
I live in NYC so portability is the core focus of this build… I want to be able to take it on the ferry, the subway, be able to fit it in the trunk of a toyota camry, etc..
So I was thinking that just above the cooler box frame, I’d install a 3d printed hinge so I can remove / fold the handle if needed… Is that crazy? Anyone have any experience with such a thing?
Also, it’s a bit too wide to be able to easily fit
The frame is a bit too wide with the wheels to get through doorways easily. What if I took the wheels that are on the exterior of the cart, and put them in the middle of the cart, like a wheelbarrow style cart?
Would that be structurally unstable? This is 1-1/2″ PVC which is frankly a little overkill for the ~20-40 pounds max I’d ever haul w/ it..
Thanks for your feedback and I wish u a fantastic day.

If it’s going into the sand, don’t even bother if you’re not using those big squishy tires.
