Hi all I'm flying into Albuquerque for a wedding on Friday and have the weekend to fish. Bringing my rod and gear so was hoping to get a little in. I prefer alpine lakes but doesn't look like there are any nearby. Open to river and stream or whatever. If there is anything in or near town for some easy stockers is also an option as I'll be with my 8 year old son who has been slaying them this summer. Thanks!

From Albuquerque I would head north to either the Pecos or Jemez watersheds. In either case you’re looking at 1.5-2 hours driving each way. I don’t know of anything closer for trout.
