Not a fisherman, but found a 1960’s 5wt fiberglass rod when cleaning out my grandpa’s house to sell.
He taught me how to spin fish as a kid, but he never talked about fly fishing. Didn’t even know he had a rod. He apparently dug if out just before he passed away because he heard me say I wanted to give it a try.
A local shop helped me set it up, and after a few days of casting in a soccer field I decided to give it a try. Can’t wait to try it again.
