Fish ID

Montauk, NY:

I caught this (actually, my dad caught it and handed me the rod, haha) when I was a kid and I have never been able to ID it. The fish has a rounded face, white belly and dark upper side. I don’t think I’ve ever caught anything like it since and I have been curious all of this time. I wish the picture was a little more quality.
