How do you even backlash a spinning reel? 🤦‍♂️😂

  1. Usually happens to me when there wasn’t enough tension on the line when I was reeling, then during the next cast boom goes the spool.

And, that really only happens on my tiny rods when I’m using tiny lures.

  2. Too much line or u need to start closing ur bail manually w your hand after you cast. If you rely on cranking the bail over, u allow for loops and hang ups because of the lack of proper tension. Also can try taking few extra feet of line out after u cast and then close the bail by hand. Try little things to make sure you maintain tension on the line whenever you crank.

    Hope that helps!

Looks like the spool needs to be adjusted. Way more line at the bottom then the top. There are spacers under the spool that can be moved/removed so that it evenly spreads the line over the spool.

  4. Too much line sometimes. But with braid especially it can also be that they didn’t wind it on with enough tension. Also using a swivel with lures that spin around a lot can help.
