I’ve got these apps where you can take photos of plants/fish/insects and get an identification. They’re pretty great and give you a bunch of information about what you’re identifying. I’ve just thought the insect one may be useful for helping to match the hatch but is there any know similar for identifying different flies and telling you what they’d be good for, what they imitate etc. I know a good deal of the flies I have but since inheriting my grandads gear I have 100s and 100s of new flies, a lot which get no use due to me being unsure when to fish them or what they are. It would be good to catalog them and start putting them to use!
