I just saw someone post about this yesterday, and as this is something I’ve been trying to figure out I thought I would post as well. My fish just came with the label “copper koi betta”. I got it because it was pretty small and was in bad shape. Now it has gotten a lot better, but is still small and has led me to believe it’s a female. However, the central fins are pretty thick and I can’t really see an egg spot so I’m not sure. Also don’t mind the darkness of my tank there’s a newer piece of Mopani wood so I’ve been doing water changes to get it less tea-like.

So tiny, I think maybe make since long fins, but the body shape has me confused haha, my girl has a similar shape, what I’d look for is a little egg spot between the two fins under (near the front of the fish) that make a V shape when they go down, and see if there’s a little spot if you are unsure!
