I am surprised! They sure are beautiful! Numbers 5 and 9 look like rainbows to me. Is redband a subspecies of rainbow trout!

How long has this been the case? I am surprised because I spent my college years in Missouri chasing interesting fish between my studies and building an impressive fish tank of native Missouri species. While these guys obviously wouldn’t belong in a tank I expect I would have heard about them through my study of MDC information and my time learning fly fishing there.
