While driving home a few days ago I spotted the very distinct blue color of a clam flip over shack on the curb. I looped back to check it out and knock on the persons door. No answer so I went back to check out the shack. It had about 4 inches of ice in the sled, and was full of mouse poop. So I did what every horder does and put it in the truck.
After dumping about 50 gallons of hot water in the sled, I finally got the ice melted and could get the tent open. It was a old clam kenai, the sled was brand new, the seat new, the tent aside from the mouse poop and holes was new also. It really looked like the person got it, put it in storage for the past 15 years, then finally threw it out when they found all the mouse damage.
I washed the tent, pressure washed the tub, all the rubber coating on the tent fell off where it had been sitting in mouse pee water, so I sprayed the inside with flex seal.
Got it all back together tonight, and it's a really nice little shack. I put it next to my kenai pro thermal, it's actually about 5 inches longer, but it's not as wide as the pro.
