They aren't kidding when they say this hobby tests your patience. It's a Zen thing for me though! Started cycling the tank about a week ago, while adding hardscape and plants throughout that time. Enjoying the cycling and planting more than figuring out what fish I want!
Photo taken a couple hours after plants and wood introduced to the tank. I'm enjoying the natural murky look, and water parameters are strong!
I picked the wood locally and I soaked for about 2 weeks after stripping and burning it. Rocks were also locally sourced.
Fingers crossed one of those water lily bulbs sprouts! Hopefully it pulls it all together.
