After about $200+, 4 days and hours of continuously researching, learning, and talking to some people on PM about it, I feel like I've learned a lot about how to take care of Mr. Sparklefin.

His tank is definitely still a bit on the smaller side but it's the most I can do with I can give him. Hopefully he likes it! Here's some new info about it.

  • I did some water testing and Ammonia is 0ppm so that's good. Gonna keep watching so I can cycle it better seeing that it's a new tank and all.

  • Removed the bigger plastic decor and used two types of Fern. The tank had built in LED so, for now, I'm relying on them for lights.

  • I gave him a hide out. Not my cup of tea, would have settled for a nice driftwood, but it'll do for now. I have yet to see him use it, but only time will tell if he even sees it. Lol.

  • I redecorated his tank and the water got cloudy, but I'm guessing that's hopefully normal.

For those new owners of Betta because of a White Elephant situation, you can do it. Just wanted to say thanks and show y'all update on him.
