As long as you cut it near the tip of the line, like just taking off the loop you’re good. I like to snell leaders straight onto the line.

You can always tie on the leader with a nail knot.

The terminal end of a fly line typically has several inches of level line there for that purpose. Loops haven’t always been a thing. You are fine.

You can weld a new loop if you’d like. Lots of videos on the Youtube.

When you do tie on a new leader, make sure to put a drop of crazy glue or something where you cut the fly line. If you look “down the barrel” of your fly line at the cut, you’ll see a white dot in the center. That white dot is the fly line core and will absorb water, which in turn will cause your line to sink and mess up your presentation.
