After 9 years it finally happened, the pole on my Fatfish popped through the bottom. How do guys repair these?

I bought a Speedy Stitcher Sewing Awl then followed basic YT sewing videos with one. Took me a few minutes and I had 3 of those fixed.

I just fixed mine with a little bit of sewing and wrapping the tip with some electrical tape so it’s not as sharp

Cut the fingers off of leather gloves and put them on the end of the fiberglass pole. This will help reduce the ability for it to tear the nylon strap that is sewn on there.
