Idk if this is allowed, just wanted to see if anyone else relates hahaha

On the topic, how have you dealt with it in your tanks?

  1. Nice poem.

As for treatment, reduce temp to the lowest your livestock can tolerate and pull back on feeding. Also do large water changes 30-50%). Bacterial blooms occur when water temps warm and there are excess nutrients in the water column, that’s why you have cyanobacteria/blue green algae fish consumption advisories in the summer.

I would resist treating with antibiotics, since it will also kill your beneficial bacteria, requiring you to re-cycle your tank. But if you must, erythromycin is effective.
