(Beginner here, be kind)
Hi everyone. I’m new to fishing and I’ve only done pier fishing so far. I’m looking to hit the surf (central CA) and get what I need while also staying as budget friendly as possible. I just wanna try it out and have a good time. I’ll be targeting mostly perch, halibut, striper, really anything I can get my hands on. I picked up this rod at a swap meet for $10. Would it work for the surf? What size reel should I buy for it? Any reel recommendations?
