My current cold water confidence baits here in Northern California. What are yours currently?
(A few missing these have just caught me the most lately)

  1. Never fished anywhere west of the Mississippi and Ozarks (what a tourny). Here in Indiana we have “dumb” bass. I can’t say what we actually say. I’ve fished in cold and never again. But when stuff starts up very early spawn here I rip a flatbill (various depths) along with jigs.

Can get VERY slow. The Ozark tourny taught me one thing. If nothings working literally let it sit for 45 seconds to a min. Give it a pop and sit.

    Of just crank lol.

  2. Cold water confidence baits for me are lipless crankbaits and squarebill crankbaits. I’ll slowly drag and twitch lipless along the bottom and rocks or I’ll bounce squarebills off submerged wood. They both work all year but winter/spring they really shine.
