I have an early 2000’s blue blank Clearwater 2pc, Midflix 9’ 8wt. The epoxy around a few guides is cracked and starting to peel off, reel seat cork is a little wobbly, furl ends are a little chipped. I’m 100% sure it’s still under warranty and thinking about getting my local store to see what they think. I’m assuming they would just replace it.
My question is are the new models better, worse or the same as the older models.
30’ common carp for the likes. lol

Yes, the rod quality is better now than 25 years ago for Orvis.
The warranty is all done online through your orvis account and the warranty is only valid to the original purchaser who registered the product . They will fix the rod if they can’t they will ship you a new one . Epoxy is a pretty easy fix I imagine so at most you’ll just pay for shipping.
