My 7 year old insisted on rescuing the saddest looking betta at petco while buying food for our guppies. It’s been a week and he’s still pretty sad and I’m not sure what else to do for him 🥺 any suggestions? He’s in a heated, filtered 5 gal tank with a couple live plants & mopani wood. It’s not properly cycled (I know, I know, But it wasn’t planned 😬) and I’m doing a proper fish-in cycle (I successfully cycled our guppy tank ahead of getting them, so I’m familiar with the process and am working from a guide). The substrate is likely too bright for the guy, and that’s probably why he’s still stressed
