I have. Caught it 2 weeks apart in the same place. I knew it was the same fish because it had the hole in its mouth where I unhooked it the first time.

Fish: “seriously man, there was like this whole other universe up there!”
Fish friend: “No way, dude! Do it again!”

I caught a green sunfish in a small creek once. Dropped it back in the water and watched it swim over to a sandy sunny spot. Flipped my redworm back out in the water and the exact same fish grabbed it again. Total elapsed time was maybe 30 seconds.

Yes…my grandma and grandpa had a pond in fished a lot when I was a kid. My dad and I would take the boat to other lakes and anything we caught we kept alive in the live well and put them in the pond. We put one big rock bass in there and over the next few years I caught him every single time I fished that pond lol grandpa named him Charlie and I bet i caught him at least 30 times lol

Yup! I think I’ve caught one two times in the same trip to my local pond. There’s a unique bluegill in there that has a rather interesting deformity – I’ve caught it a lot. Kinda makes me feel bad, but it makes me happy that I’m doing my job to treat the fish well and release it safely.

Once I caught the same brook trout twice in 3 casts. On the same fly.
That’s cool. Didn’t know there were managuense down there.
Yup. Buddy of mine went ice fishing and snapped off on a pike, losing a lure. Next week goes back, hooks the same pike. Got his lure back!
