Anyone have to deal with this before? Dont really want to replace the whole grip.

sand a wine cork into dust, mix dust with wood glue. clean and prep handle then fill in cork with wood glue/ cork mixture. Let it dry, then sand it smooth.

Cork renewer/U40 sealant, or beeswax furniture polish will help slow down the deterioration, but I don’t think it would ever get back to full strength. A thin epoxy maybe?
