Is this fly thing worth 50$ if I just want to get into it and try it
I'm going to fish for carp, redfin, trout, cod, and perch

Sorry bud, I don’t see a fly rod.
And fly rods are a bit more specific. You can do all that with a 6wt but it’s going to suck. For salty species and coarse fishery pick an 8 or a 9wt, for trout in small water you want a 5wt. I doubt you could ever get deep enough to fish cod with a fly.
