As we all know, or should know, when you drive on ice, keep your seatbelt off and the window open. This let's you easily escape should the ice gives way. The risk of a crash is very low and if you do crash, you're only going 10-15 mph. Even if the ice is 20+ inches, I always do this, just in case. If you didn't know this safety tip, now you know. Anyway, when I do it, my truck nags at me for not having a seatbelt on. One of these guys prevents that.

So this gains a little attention, I've included a picture of the last fish I caught. It's crappie that's just a bit too small to keep.

Most vehicles have a way to override the seat belt alarm. It’s a pretty simple procedure that you can normally find on YouTube.

  2. Note in F150s you can disable the seatbelt reminder alarm. It lists the steps in the manual.
